He Seemed Happy Enough While at the Market
We decided on an outing to the Atwater Market yesterday. (We can’t grow everything. Our corn and watermelons need more time, our raspberries are done for the season and our chickens aren’t quite plucked and dressed.) Simon spent the morning asleep in the stroller, or so we thought. It was only after getting him back into his car seat that we realized he was shopping under protest:

I love this! Keep it real, kiddo.
I suspect that if you pluck the chickens, they will get very cold, even in Los Angeles. I still need therapy from seeing chicken slaughtering…I don’t think the kid should be exposed to until he’s 22…YEARS old. Or he could turn out like me — never able to eat chickens again!
