Simon’s week so far
On Monday, Simon wore his Pirate Parrot onesie to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
On Tuesday, Simon visited Raquel’s office. He smiled at her editor/boss, flirted with the receptionist and cuddled with her friend Shaya. He already knows who to suck up to and has a better understanding of office politics than his mother will ever have.

my baby can swim
I asked my mother to bring Your Baby Can Swim when she comes to visit. The book fascinated me as a kid. I spent years staring at the cover photo of the infant underwater. I found an old copy at the library recently and it’s an interesting read. It’s all about how physical and cognitive development go hand in hand, and trust and confidence. Today infant swim classes focus on safety and staying afloat should Baby fall into a backyard pool.
Peter points out that the there was no second edition. Maybe babies stopped swimming after the book was published in 1974? Hot tub, here we come!
